IANOS AVYSSOS IA05 IN A GLANCE

The Ianos Avyssos IA05 features a modern black dial encompassing the blue colour of the Greek flag in the small seconds mechanism, a subtle indicator of the brand’s provenance and identity.

The small seconds hand has been replaced with a meaningful luminous rotating propeller in a cage structure replicating the main gear of the Antikythera mechanism, the hour markers are shaped like the kampanelopetra stone used by the “naked” sponge divers to pull them to the seabed in search of sponges and the rough texture of the dial only serves to accent the rugged nature of the sponge diver profession and the ancient inspiration of the watch.

Each component and design element has been re-thought and re-designed to serve a specific purpose and function. The bold curved case design offers unparalleled comfort and a slim profile while the case back features a deep strap channel allowing a one piece strap or NATO strap to pass through it, sitting flush with the case, thus affording maximum comfort with minimum height.

Each Ianos Avyssos IA05 is delivered with a black Italian leather strap cured coating ensuring water usability and great aging as well as a black Bonetto Cinturini rubber NATO strap.
